The OpenAthena software features a novel technique developed by Theta for over five years called "terrain-raycast".  It automatically combines drone image metadata with digital terrain elevation data to instantly obtain the exact location of any single pixel within any single drone image from your regular off-the-shelf drone.

The OpenAthena software is available in several versions. For consumers there is a free Android/iOS application, compatible with most off the shelf drones made by DJI, Autel, Parrot, Skydio, and Teal.

For advanced users, platform providers, and drone OEMs, Theta provides an API (https://api.openathena.com) which allows the terrain-raycast capability to be integrated into other products.
