Advancing Disaster Resilience through Air Monitoring and Clean Air Infrastructure
06 Nov 2025
Integrating real-time air quality monitoring and clean air shelter planning strengthens disaster preparedness. This session will explore how particulate pollution impacts vulnerable populations during wildfires, chemical events, and dust storms, and how monitoring infrastructure and indoor air interventions can be incorporated into emergency planning. Case studies will illustrate how public agencies and relief organizations have operationalized these strategies to protect public health before, during, and after disasters.
