Edward Blanchard

Edward Blanchard serves as the Regional Disaster Officer for the Texas Gulf Coast Region. He previously led disaster operations in New Jersey for three and a half years of service and served as Deputy Disaster Officer for Northern New England, covering Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Edward began his Red Cross journey in 2003 as a volunteer during his Eagle Scout project. He studied at the Community College of Rhode Island and Roger Williams Medical while launching a career in fire service, rising to station captain boards, and volunteered with Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Since 2005, Edward has supported over 50 disaster relief operations nationwide, including shelter leadership during Hurricane Harvey and health services support following a typhoon in Saipan.
