Matt Whatley brings more than 27 years of leadership in emergency response, military command, and hazard control. Based in Texas, he is an Encapsulator Technology Specialist with Hazard Control Technologies, where he supports industrial, municipal, and emergency response clients in adopting advanced fire suppression and hazard mitigation solutions. He works closely with engineering professionals to implement technologies that strengthen safety and operational performance. A retired U.S. Army Field-grade officer and former Houston Fire Department Rescue Technician, Matt has specialized expertise in extrication. He played a central role in responses to Hurricanes Harvey and Dorian, coordinating search and rescue, force protection, and security operations, while also providing ICS training.
